I’ve started thinking about my intentions for the summer.
in-ten-tion [in-ten-shuhn] — the act or instance of determining mentally upon some action or result.
This summer I intend to get back into a regular exercise routine.
For me, that means running — no gym membership needed, no classes to purchase. Just me and my sneakers and the streets of my neighborhood.
I’ve been thinking about starting to run again for months. Last week I shifted my thoughts to my intention. Now instead of thinking, I’m running!
Me, sweaty and happy after a run last night.
It isn’t a big shift really. But oh, it’s an important one.
